TECHNICAL APPROVALS

Principles and course for issuing of technical approvals as well as bodies authorized for technical approvals issue are specified in ordinance of the Minister of Infrastructure of 8th November 2004 on technical approvals and the bodies entitled to issue technical approvals (Official Journal of Polish Republic No. 249/2004, pos. 2497).

ITB is the body authorized to issue the technical approvals in the range of following products:
  1. products for concrete, steel and ceramic structures, metal and plastic anchors,
  2. products for lightweight structures, casings and fillings,
  3. windows, doors, gates and associated products,
  4. products for moisture-proofing and water-proofing protection,
  5. products for thermal and acoustic insulations,
  6. products for building protection,
  7. products for fire protection,
  8. products for plastering, flooring, lining and facing,
  9. products for sanitary installations.

and products not covered by the activity of other bodies approved to issue the technical approvals.

Since the 1 st May 2004, Institute as EOTA member, is within its rights to grant the European Technical Approvals (ETA).

Principles and course for issuing of European technical approvals as well as bodies authorized for European technical approvals issue are specified in ordinance of the Minister of Infrastructure of 14th October 2004 on the European technical approvals and Polish bodies entitled to issue European technical approvals (Official Journal of Polish Republic No. 237/2004, pos. 2375).
